The guitar riffs on “Sheep” are the thing that makes this tune so frightening, with the instrument mimicking frightened sheep at various points. Pink Floyd are often marked out as psychedelic stoners, but they had a few scary songs to their name. Despite its easy-going bass line and relative lack of dissonance, listen closely to the lyrics and you’ll understand why some regard it as one of the scariest songs of all time.
